With Steve Carell set to leave a huge hole in “The Office” when he leaves at the end of the next season, the actor/comedian seems to getting some projects ready to start slotting in his now very available calendar.
DreamWorks has picked up “Raised By Wolfs,”an original comedy pitch by Les Firestein with Carell attached to star and produce via his Carousel Productions. Details on the story are being kept under wraps, but the spelling of ‘Wolfs’ is said to reflect the main character’s last name.
Firestein got started as a head writer on “In Living Color,” and has since handled a variety of writing/producing roles including an executive producer credit on “The Drew Carey Show,” and he also co-created the Fox series “Wanda at Large.” No director or timetable for production have been set yet, but once a completed script comes to life, those pieces should be filled in.
