Stream Max Richter And Geoff Barrow & Ben Salisbury's Scores For 'Black Mirror' Season 3

If you don’t have any plans tonight, you might want to fire up Netflix and get caught up with “Black Mirror.” The hit anthology show unveils its third season on the streaming service today, and the six episodes certainly have no shortage of big talent in terms of directors (Joe Wright,  Dan Trachtenberg) and actors (Bryce Dallas Howard, Alice Eve, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Mackenzie Davis), but even the music has some top shelf names. Max Richter (“The Leftovers,” “Waltz With Bashir“) and the team of Geoff Barrow and Ben Salisbury (who’ve paired on “Ex Machina” and “Free Fire“) are among the composers for this season, and their work is now ready for your ears.

For Joe Wright’s “Nosedive,” the story of social media anxiety taken to the next level gets a soundtrack from Richter that balances some gorgeous piano motifs with more throbbing electronic textures. It’s great stuff, and it helps give the episode a bigger dramatic punch, and compliments Howard’s excellent performance quite nicely. Meanwhile, Barrow and Salisbury go quite dark and moody for their work on Jakob Verbruggen‘s “Men Against Fire,” an entry to the series which mixes the military and mutants.

Both soundtracks are available individually for purchase right now, and “Black Mirror” is ready for eyeballs over at Netflix.
