'Super Pumped': Quentin Tarantino To Narrate The First Season Of Showtime's Anthology Series

Quentin Tarantino is making the jump to TV! Well, not as a filmmaker. And not really as an actor. But hey, he’s going to be the narrator for one of our most anticipated series of 2022, so that’s cool, right?

According to Deadline, Quentin Tarantino has signed on to act as narrator for the first season of Showtime’s upcoming anthology series, “Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber.” The series comes from “Billions” creators, Brian Koppelman and David Levien, and stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Travis Kalanick, the controversial CEO of Uber who finds himself the subject of a potential business coup.

Tarantino isn’t new to the world of narration, having used his own voice in his previous films, “Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood” and “The Hateful Eight.” He’s also acted in a number of films, so it’s not out of character for the filmmaker to do something like this. Interestingly, ‘Super Pumped’ also reunites Tarantino with “Kill Bill” star Uma Thurman, who has a role in the series. Other actors in the cast for the series are Kyle Chandler, Babak Tafti, Mousa Hussein Kraish, and Elisabeth Shue.

In other “Super Pumped” news, it was also revealed yesterday that the second season of the anthology series will go from Uber to Facebook and focus on the business relationship between CEO Mark Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg. Obviously, this will include a new cast, but perhaps, we’ll see Tarantino become the narrator for all seasons? We’ll just have to wait and see.

“Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber” debuts on Showtime on February 27.
