This Time The Bosses Are *Really* Horrible: Jason Bateman, Charlie Day & Jason Sudeikis Sign For 'Horrible Bosses 2'

Horrible Bosses 2Update: First look photo from the movie above:

In the works for a while now, “Horrible Bosses 2” seemed inevitable. The first film – great concept, pretty dull execution – powered its way to over $200 million worldwide. So no surprise that at the beginning of 2012, word first started burbling about a sequel, and by the summer, Seth Gordon was being offered the director’s chair to return. Well, he’s back, as are the three principal leads.

Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis have all signed for “Horrible Bosses 2,” with Jamie Foxx in negotiations to reprise his role as Motherfucker Jones. John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (“The Incredible Burt Wonderstone,” “Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2“) have been hired back to pen the screenplay and while the plan is to have more bad bosses, there is apparently still room being left in case Kevin Spacey and Jennifer Aniston want to drop by again. Huh? It’s not like this is a comedy with a grand mythology – might it be more fun to just introduce these guys to a whole new legion of awful people? Whatever, we suppose.

Once everything gets tied up and packaged, shooting will begin at the end of the summer so you might as well pencil this in for a 2014 release. [THR]
