'Thor: Love & Thunder' Trailer: Chris Hemsworth Is Joined By A Whole Team In His Latest Marvel Adventure

Though “Thor: Love & Thunder” is seemingly a “solo” film focused on the latest adventures of the God of Thunder, Marvel Studios has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to A-list heroes, so many of these films quickly become ensembles. The new trailer for the fourth ‘Thor’ film focuses on the various folks who comprise the team that will fight bad guys in Taika Waititi’s new film. First, you obviously have Chris Hemsworth as Thor Odinson. Then, there’s Jane Foster, aka the Mighty Thor, played by Natalie Portman. Next, we have Tessa Thompson’s Valkryie.” And last but certainly not least, there’s Korg, voiced and mo-capped by Waititi himself. All told, “Thor: Love & Thunder” might have Thor’s name in the title, but this is very much a Marvel Studios film packed with massive stars playing fun heroes. Just like we saw in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” “Black Widow,” and basically every film from Marvel over the past several years.

“Thor: Love & Thunder” is set to arrive in theaters on July 8. You can watch the new trailer below.

Here’s the synopsis:

Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Love and Thunder” finds the God of Thunder (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a search for self-discovery. But Thor’s retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.
