The Venice Film Festival gets underway this week and kicking things off is the starry survival tale "Everest." As usual, pundits will be watching the movie to see if it’s an awards season contender or just a wintry thriller, or perhaps, it’s both. But if you can’t make it to the Lido, five clips are here to give you a healthy look at the movie before it opens in cinemas next month.
Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin, John Hawkes, Robin Wright, Michael Kelly, Sam Worthington, Keira Knightley, Emily Watson and Jake Gyllenhaal star in the true story tale that follows two expeditions to the top of the world’s most famous peak, and the men who battled the elements and fought for their lives along the journey. Baltasar Kormákur ("2 Guns," "Contraband") is behind the camera for this one that’ll have some extra oomph by being delivered in IMAX 3D.
