Watch: First Trailer For HBO Miniseries 'Olive Kitteridge' With Frances McDormand & Bill Murray

nullHBO’s mini-series fever continues after the grand success of “True Detective” with “Olive Kitteridge”, based on the best-selling novel by Elizabeth Strout and starring an impressive line-up that includes Frances McDormand, Richard Jenkins and Bill Murray, whose continued presence soon after the Toronto International Film Festival‘s Bill Murray Day is more than welcome. The mini-series spans the 25-year relationship between a middle school teacher named Olive (McDormand) and her husband Henry (Jenkins) who live in the small town of Crosby, Maine.

In true HBO fashion, the first teaser for the show gives very little information about its content and lets the images speak for themselves. But if you’re keen to know more, the series premiered at Venice a week or so ago, where our correspondent Jessica Kiang raved about it  —you can read that review right here. The show is written by Jane Anderson (“How to Make an American Quilt”) and directed by Lisa Cholodenko (“The Kids Are All Right”). The first two episodes of "Olive Kitteridge" will premiere on HBO on November 2 at 9 PM. The final two parts will be shown the next day, November 3, also at 9 PM.
