Watch: First Trailer For TIFF Entry 'Black And White' With Kevin Costner & Octavia Spencer

Black and WhiteKevin Costner‘s on the comeback trail at the moment, and while films like "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit" and "Draft Day" didn’t quite pay off, he’s got plenty more on the way. Next up is "Black And White," a reteam with semi-regular collaborator Mike Binder, which screens at the Toronto International Film Festival this week.

The film sees Costner playing the grandfather of a mixed-race child; he’s left to care for her when his wife (Jennifer Ehle) is killed in a car accident. Things are complicated further when the girl’s paternal grandmother, played by Octavia Spencer, enters the scene.

The film has a promising set up; hopefully, the team behind it can go deeper than, say, something like "Crash," and the first trailer has arrived via Shadow & Act,. For more on the film, you can read our interview with Costner here, and keep your eyes peeled for our review over the next few days. In the meantime, watch the trailer below.
