This weekend, Michael Bay gets his hands on "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and the results aren’t so good. So perhaps a look back at the franchise is in order, because let’s face it, these pizza-loving, ninja experts haven’t ever fared that well on the big screen.
Screen Junkies has a new Honest Trailer, this time taking a kowabunga kick to "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret Of The Ooze." And while childhood nostalgia may hold this in higher esteem, upon sober reflection, this movie was never any good. Giving the first one a pass for being better than it had any right to be, the sequel brought diminished returns, and as this video points out, the violence was considerably dumbed down the second time through. It seems the Turtles find anything to fight with except their actual weapons, and do anything they can to not use them at all. And that’s the least of it.
