Watch: Lars Von Trier’s 1980 Short Film ‘Nocturne’

nullThere is no doubt that Lars von Trier's erotic journey from Milan to Minsk upcoming "The Nymphomaniac" will give us plenty to talk about when it lands next year, but until then, we'll have to be patient. But there are some early works that can tide you over until then. In case you missed it, his very early 1971 short "En Blomst" is online and another curio has popped up.

The director's 1980 student film short "Nocturne" is bubbling on the interwebs. Running a brief eight minutes, the experimental piece centers on a young woman awakened by shattered glass and terrified by sunlight. The effort earned him the Best Film award at the Munich International Festival of Film Schools (he would also win the following year for "The Last Detail"). Anyway, grab a cup of coffee and give it a spin below.
