Watch: New Clip From 'Star Trek Into Darkness' Plus Spock Faces Spock In Audi Ad

nullToday, believe it or not, is the four year anniversary since the theatrical release of J.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek.” Time sure does move fast unless, of course, you’re a Trekkie.  A brand new clip from “Star Trek Into Darkness” has just been posted online and while it’s hardly any consolation for such a long wait, you know you want to check it out anyway. Besides, the movie’s release is only a few days away. If you can wait four years, surely another couple of days couldn’t hurt… right?

The clip features Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) confronting John Harrison (Benedict Cumberbatch) while the terrorist is imprisoned in a large plexi-glass room. These rooms apparently only exist in movie land (see “Skyfall,” “The Avengers”). Nevertheless, Kirk has captured Harrison (well, the guy actually gave himself up) and he appears to be pretty pissed off at him. It’s probably the whole killing innocent men and women thing. Yet Kirk, at this point, has decided to let him live. Why? Why would he do such a crazy thing? You can find out more by watching the clip below.

While you’re at it, check out this amusing extended Audi commercial featuring Leonard Nimoy and Zachary Quinto as one challenges the other to a game of golf. Last one to the club, buys the other lunch. If nothing else, it’s worth checking out just to hear Nimoy sing “The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins.”

Lastly, feel free to take a look at our review of “Star Trek Into Darkness” here. The movie comes out to theaters everywhere on May 17th. [THR/io9]
