While Will Smith movies are typically dropped during the summer or awards season, there isn’t a pre-determined seasonal slot for potential big box office hits any longer. And Warner Bros. is hoping Smith’s charm and sex appeal, alongside "Wolf Of Wall Street" star Margot Robbie, can bring the con man movie "Focus" into view for audiences later this month. And over the past few days, a couple of new trailers have quietly emerged online.
The most significant is an IMAX spot for the movie, which we wouldn’t consider an obvious candidate for the mega-sized screen. Featuring a fair amount of new footage, it’s a decent re-introduction to the flick about a con man and his protegé who become romantically entangled, only for the latter to break it off. When she appears three years later, Smith’s character is thrown for a loop as he plans his biggest scheme yet. Meanwhile, the UK spot is a brisker look at this very slick-looking movie.
