Watch: New Trailer For '300: Rise Of An Empire' Brings You The Ecstasy Of Steel And Flesh

300: Rise Of An Empire

There will be yelling … If you’ve been missing bronzed-up dudes, action sequences in the rain and dark, and people talking intensely against CGI backdrops, well prepare thyself: the new trailer for “300: Rise Of An Empire” is here.

Playing right to its core constituency (teen boys, people who watched “Spartacus” and those who have been dying for a “300” sequel), there is nothing subtle about this trailer which promises vengeance, war, blood, tears, slow motion, operatic music and glistening bodies. Basically, if you liked Zack Snyder‘s first film, you’ll probably like this follow-up which he co-wrote and produced, with Noam Murro now at the helm. As for the story, it’s now sea bound with Greek general Themistokles (Sullivan Stapleton) attempting to unite all of Greece against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro), and Artemisia (Eva Green), vengeful commander of the Persian navy. LOUD NOISES!

“300: Rise Of An Empire” opens on March 7th. Watch below and check out a rather obnoxious amount of character posters after that.
