Val Kilmer + Harmony Korine + roller rink + motivational speaking….if that doesn't get your cinematic nether regions wet, then we don't know what to tell you. But there is perhaps no pairing more inspired or more insane heading to cinemas this year than the actor and director on their upcoming segment in the omnibus project "The Fourth Dimension." And with a trailer now landing for the movie, we have our first look at their collaboration. And yeah, it looks amazing.
Not much is known plot-wise about the short, except what we just told you, but last fall it was revealed that the filmmakers involved in the project — which also includes Alexey Fedorchenko and Jan Kwiecinski — had to adhere to bunch of random Dogme-style rules that included stuff like: This film must be the best film you have ever made; This film has to have real life and You cannot fail. You can read more of the random guidelines here.
Either way, we're stoked. "The Fourth Dimension" will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival next month and this might be the best thing Kilmer has done in forever. Watch below. [THR]
