“Star Trek: Strange New Worlds”
Anson Mount, Ethan Peck, and Rebecca Romijn return as Captain Pike, Spock, and Number One in the third season of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.” The spinoff series follows Pike and his crew on the starship Enterprise as they explore new worlds and carry out missions, all set in the decade before “Star Trek: The Original Series.” Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Babs Olusanmokun, and Martin Quinn are also stars.
Release Date: Season 3 premieres July 17 on Paramount+.
“Washington Black”
Based on the critically acclaimed novel of the same name by Esi Edugyan, “Washington Black” is the latest series for Hulu. The series, created by Selwyn Seyfu Hinds, follows an 11-year-old enslaved boy on a Barbados sugar plantation in the 19th century. The story tracks his escape with the help of an eccentric inventor, inspiring a journey of self-discovery: Sterling K. Brown, Tom Ellis, Edward Bluemel, and Iola Evans star.
Release Date: Season 1 premieres July 23 on Hulu.
“Twisted Metal”
Anthony Mackie returns for Season 2 of the post-apocalyptic action-comedy “Twisted Metal.” Based on the video game franchise, the season follows Mackie’s John Doe as he’s pulled further into a deadly and brutal tournament. Stephanie Beatriz and Will Arnett reprise their roles, with Rose McIver and Walton Goggins joining the cast.
Release Date: Season 2 premieres July 31 on Peacock.
