“Mayor of Kingstown”
Streaming Mike McLusky (Jeremy Renner) returns to face a fractured Kingstown after the collapse of the Russian cartel. A dangerous gang war brews as new players step into the power vacuum, including prison warden Nina Hobbs (Edie Falco). With rival gangs, corrupt officials, and the prison system closing in, Mike struggles to maintain control and protect what’s left of his family. The season also stars Taylor Handley, Hamish Allan-Headley, Tobi Bamtefa, with newcomers Lennie James and Laura Benanti.

“Down Cemetery Road”
Ruth Wilson and Emma Thompson star in the British series “Down Cemetery Road.” Based on the novel of the same name and adapted by Morwenna Banks, the series follows a woman who hires an investigator after an explosion in a small suburban neighborhood occurs on the same night a girl goes missing.
Release Date: Season 1 premieres October 29 on Apple TV+.
“Star Wars Visions”
In its third season, the animated anthology series “Star Wars Visions” continues to deliver on bringing together some of animation’s greatest minds for singular stories in this vast franchise. The lineup features work from notable Japanese production studios, including Production I.G., Studio Trigger, Wit, and others.

“The Witcher”
Liam Hemsworth steps up as Geralt in season four of the Netflix fantasy series, “The Witcher,” following Henry Cavill’s step down. Season four follows Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri after they’re separated by a raging war and countless enemies. Lawrence Fishburne joins the cast as fan favorite Regis.
Release Date: Season 4 premieres October 30 on Netflix.
Honorable Mentions: For more drama, there’s the Netflix series “Boots,” which takes place in 1990 and follows a gay high schooler who joins the Marine Corps with his straight best friend, out on October 9.
If you’re looking for more in the horror genre, there’s the psychological thriller “Harlan Coben’s Lazarus,” starring Sam Claflin as a man investigating cold case murders, premiering October 22 on Prime Video. “Talamasca: The Secret Order” also fits the October bill as it hopefully seeks to achieve the same level of quality as fellow Anne Rice adaptation, “Interview with a Vampire,” premiering October 26 on AMC. Lastly, Netflix has “Amsterdam Empire” starring Famke Janssen.
