Bryan Singer Denies Allegations Soon To Be Published In A "Reckless" & "Irresponsible" Esquire Article

Bryan Singer is about to become the subject of an “irresponsible” and “reckless” article. That is, according to Bryan Singer. In an example of trying to get in front of a story, the controversial director, who is the subject of various sexual assault accusations, posted a message on social media to discredit an article that has yet to be released.

In an Instagram post, Singer says, “I have known for some time that Esquire magazine may publish a negative article about me. They have contacted my friends, colleagues, and people I don’t even know.” He continues by saying the upcoming piece is an example of a trend where “careers are being harmed by mere accusations.” The director says that Esquire is attempting something that is a “reckless disregard for the truth” and the outlet’s assumptions are “fictional and irresponsible.” Long story short, Singer wants everyone to know that whatever Esquire says in an upcoming piece is…well, fake news.

So, what is Singer concerned people will read? At this point, the sky’s the limit. The director has already been accused of sexual assault by several young actors, including one saying he was underage at the time of the alleged incident. The director hints that he could also have links to alleged underage sexual encounters due to “guilt by association,” which has been documented before since Singer has links to others with similar accusations. Then there’s the supposed erratic and generally horrible on-set behavior he is said to have shown during filming of the upcoming “Bohemian Rhapsody,” where reports said he threw objects at star Rami Malek and walked off set. This led to his dismissal from the film.

Singer accuses Esquire of taking advantage of the upcoming release of the aforementioned film by calling the upcoming piece “conveniently timed.”

He ends his message by saying, “I will comment further on this if necessary.” Something leads us to believe that upcoming comments from Singer should be forthcoming.
