Josh Brolin & Peter Dinklage To Star In ‘Twins’-Esque Comedy Written & Directed By Macon Blair

Macon Blair is one of the most underrated filmmakers and actors working today. After starring in films such as “Green Room” and “Blue Ruin,” both directed beautifully by Jeremy Saulnier, Blair went on to write the films “Small Crimes,” “Hold the Dark,” and “I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore.” The latter of which also serves as his directorial debut. Now, it appears that his skill is being recognized by Legendary, who have signed him to write and direct a new film titled “Brothers.”

According to Variety, Blair has signed to write and direct, “Brothers,” a comedy film that is described as being in the same vein as “Twins,” and stars none other than Josh Brolin and Peter Dinklage in the title roles. No other plot details are known at this time, but you can’t go wrong with Brolin, Dinklage, and Blair. They’re bound to create something worthwhile and offbeat.

Brolin is probably best known for his roles in dramatic films such as “No Country for Old Men” and the two “Sicario” films. However, he’s also starred in more comedic efforts such as “Men in Black 3” and the recent “Deadpool 2.” Though, in the latter, his straight-man sensibilities were the dominant factor in the comedy. That being said, if you follow him on Instagram, you know that Brolin is definitely not someone who takes himself too seriously and is always down to joke around.

Dinklage is best known for his Emmy-winning role on the fantasy series “Game of Thrones.” But much like Brolin, he’s also been known to star in humorous films such as “The Station Agent,” “The Baxter,” “Elf,” and “Pixels.”

There’s no word on when Legendary is looking to release “Brothers” or when it might go into production. But if the “Twins” description is actually apt, then we’re in for one hell of a treat and it’ll be worth the wait.
