Then you have Black Friday, which is a lesson in excess, as people just go out to buy everything they can at low prices as they brace for the Christmas season. Well, in the tradition of November feasts, the Criterion Collection is here to feed us well with plenty of new releases for us to overindulge in.

As we’ve seen happening over the course of a couple of years, Criterion is doing a quick release of another Netflix award-winning feature, with November bringing us Jane Campion’sThe Power of the Dog.” Of course, as you might expect, the release features new interviews with Campion, as well as her composer Jonny Greenwood and plenty of other people involved in the production.

Also seeing a November release is a selection of incredible modern classics, including new 4K restorations of the entire “Infernal Affairs” trilogy. These Chinese crime classics served as the inspiration for Martin Scorsese’sThe Departed” and are seen as absolute must-haves for fans of that sort of thriller. Also being released is an upgraded release of Wong Kar-wai’s iconic drama, “In the Mood for Love,” which you can now buy on 4K UHD.
