Hulu has started to make a name for itself as the preeminent streaming platform for those looking for a bit of raunch in their teen comedies. Films like “The Binge” and last year’s incredible “Plan B” have shown Hulu is capable of delivering the laughs when it comes to teens and their naughty hijinks. Now, that trend continues right into 2022 with “Sex Appeal.”

As seen in the trailer for “Sex Appeal,” the film focuses on the story of an overachieving teen girl who is bound and determined to become the best sex partner ever. How will this scientifically-minded young woman accomplish this goal? Naturally, by creating an app with crowd-sourced information from her peers about the best ways to have sex. Oh yeah, and she’s going to need her own partner, so she decides to wrangle her male best friend to help…uh, gather stats.
The comedy film stars Mika Abdalla, Jake Short, Mason Versaw, Paris Jackson, Margaret Cho, Fortune Feimster, Rebecca Henderson, Tate Hanyok, Hayden Szeto, and Artemis Pebdani. “Sex Appeal” is directed by Talia Osteen, marking her first feature since 2015’s “Slow Learners.” Since then, she also directed multiple episodes of the series “The Imposters.”
