'The Woman In The House Across The Street From The Girl In The Window' Trailer: Kristen Bell's Dark Satire Arrives On Netflix This Month

Film and TV show titles are supposed to be catchy. They’re supposed to also give the audience an idea of exactly what they’re in for when they sit down to enjoy. Netflix’s new satire, “The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window” (or ‘TWITHATSFTGITW’ for short), certainly does have an informative title, but just barely drops the ball on catchy, wouldn’t you say?

As the title suggests, ‘TWITHATSFTGITW’ tells the story of Anna, a struggling woman who witnesses a violent crime while sitting in her house across the street from her neighbor. And as you might expect from this sort of “Rear Window”-esque plot, things aren’t necessarily as they appear and Anna might not have seen the murder that she believes she did.

The dark satire stars Kristen Bell, Michael Ealy, Tom Riley, Mary Holland, Cameron Britton, Samsara Yett, Christina Anthony, and Benjamin Levy Aguilar. ‘TWITHATSFTGITW’ comes from creators Rachel Ramras, Hugh Davidson, and Larry Dorf.

“The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window” arrives on Netflix on January 28. You can watch the trailer below.

Here’s the synopsis:

For heartbroken Anna (Kristen Bell), every day is the same. She sits with her wine, staring out the window, watching life go by without her. But when a handsome neighbor (Tom Riley) and his adorable daughter (Samsara Yett) move in across the street, Anna starts to see a light at the end of the tunnel. That is until she witnesses a gruesome murder… Or did she?
