While we still don’t really know what happened after the smash cut at the end of "Inception," if these latest rumors are correct, two bros that featured in Christopher Nolan‘s film are going to reteam—the key word being "if."

According to Schmoes Know, Tom Hardy "is in serious talks" to join Leonardo DiCaprio in Alejandro González Iñárritu‘s "The Revenant." Based on the book by Michael Punke, the story follows Hugh Glass, a 19th century fur trapper who is mauled by a grizzly bear, left for dead and then robbed. When he survives against all odds, he sets out on a treacherous journey to exact revenge on his betrayers. There’s no word yet on what role Hardy might take, but we presume he’s swapping in for Sean Penn, who was initially involved in the movie a few years ago.

Production on this one will start in September, which should work out, timing-wise, for Hardy, because as far as we know, his next confirmed gig is the TV series "Taboo," which doesn’t shoot until early 2015 anyway. So, potentially promising and fingers crossed this works out.
