'WandaVision' Trailer: Vision & The Scarlet Witch Go Mad In A '50s Sitcom

Last week, Disney officially revealed that “WandaVision” was going to be the first Marvel Studios series to debut on the streaming platform. And while everyone assumed it was going to be “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” the COVID-19 pandemic all but ensured that series is going to be delayed even further. (Not to mention rumored ties to “Black Widow,” which is likely getting pushed to 2021, as well.)

Either way, “WandaVision” is coming sooner rather than later, and Disney has decided to tease that release with a brand-new trailer for the highly-anticipated superhero show. But make no mistake, this isn’t your typical superhero series. As the trailer shows, after the death of Vision in “Avengers: Infinity War,” it’s clear that Wanda has yet to recover. And due to her trauma and disintegrating mental health, she uses her vast powers to create a sitcom-esque reality for her and her android love. But, as you might expect, the charade can’t last forever.

The trailer is chock full of interesting clips from the various TV genres and tropes that “WandaVision” is expected to showcase over the course of the limited series. It’s unclear how any of this is going to get resolved and if Paul Bettany’s Vision will actually return or not. But if you’re bored of the Marvel Studios “formula” that seems to be so prevalent, this is looking like the show for you.

Disney didn’t release an official date for the debut of “WandaVision,” but recently the streaming platform said that it would be coming later this fall, with many assuming it’s a December series.
