Watch: Taron Egerton Dreams Big In New U.S. Trailer For 'Eddie The Eagle' Co-Starring Hugh Jackman

Eddie The EagleMichael Edwards (a.k.a Eddie) is a British sports phenomenon, so it’s only fitting that the international trailer differs quite a bit from the U.S. version. The latest domestic promo to drop sells a lot more of the inspirational angle of the based-on-a-true-story tale directed by Dexter Fletcher ("Wild Bill," "Sunshine On Leith"), and I don’t know, as cornball as this might look, it’s beginning to have an effect on me.

Led by Taron Egerton ("Kingsman: The Secret Service") and Hugh Jackman, the film follows the plucky adventures of Eddie who just wants to compete at the Olympics. He’s determined as hell, and taken under the wing of a rogue former champion, he goes down the hard road of realizing his dreams. Here’s the official synopsis:

Inspired by true events, Eddie the Eagle is a feel-good story about Michael "Eddie" Edwards (Taron Egerton), an unlikely but courageous British ski-jumper who never stopped believing in himself – even as an entire nation was counting him out.  With the help of a rebellious and charismatic coach (played by Hugh Jackman), Eddie takes on the establishment and wins the hearts of sports fans around the world by making an improbable and historic showing at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics.  From producers of Kingsman: The Secret Service, Eddie the Eagle stars Taron Egerton as Eddie, the loveable underdog with a never say die attitude.

Coco-starring Jo Hartley, Tim McInnerny, Rune Temte, and Christopher Walken, "Eddie The Eagle" opens on February 26, 2016.
