When Katherine Langford revealed that she wouldn’t be returning for the next season of Netflix’s13 Reasons Why,” fans wondered where the young actress would be seen next. Well, after today’s news, combined with the recent report that she’s joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in “Avengers 4,” fans shouldn’t worry about Langford finding any roles. Trust us, she’s doing just fine.

THR reports that the actress is the latest to join Rian Johnson’s upcoming film “Knives Out.” The film, which is described as a modern take on the Agatha Christie-style murder mystery, stars Daniel Craig as a detective asked to solve a murder in a modern-day whodunit. Production on Johnson’s film is already underway.

Langford is best known for her work on the aforementioned “13 Reasons Why,” where she received a Golden Globe nomination in 2018 for her role in the hugely-popular Netflix original series. Langford was also seen in the recent hit film “Love, Simon.” She’ll next be seen in the upcoming Netflix original series “Cursed,” which is a re-imagining of the King Arthur legend from co-creator Frank Miller.

The young actress joins what could very well be the only cast to compete with the superstars in Quentin Tarantino’sOnce Upon a Time in Hollywood.” Langford joins the previously mentioned Craig as well as Chris Evans, Lakeith Stanfield, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, Jamie Lee Curtis, Christopher Plummer, and Ana de Armas. Not bad for a film that Rian Johnson is rushing to finish before jumping back into the fray of the “Star Wars” universe.

There’s no release date set for “Knives Out” but it’s expected to hit theaters sometime in 2019.
