Christina Hendricks, Helen Hunt & Christopher Lloyd Among ‘Hacks’ Season 3 Guest Stars

After a production delay so star Jean Smart could recover from an undisclosed heart procedure, Max’s Emmy-winning comedy series “Hacks” is set to return for a third season. Today, Max revealed that Oscar-winner Helen Hunt, six-time Emmy Award nominee Christina Hendricks, and the legendary Christopher Lloyd are among this year’s guest stars. Last week, it was announced that co-creator Paul W. Downs and Megan Stalter have been promoted to series regulars.

Also appearing this season are Dan Bucatinsky, George Wallace, and Tony Goldwyn. Returning cast members include Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Kaitlin Olson, Christopher McDonald, Mark Indelicato, Rose Abdoo, and Lorenza Izzo.

The third season logline finds Deborah Vance (Smart) enjoying a wave of success after her smash standup special. At the same time, her creative partner, Ava (Hannah Einbinder), pursues new opportunities back in Los Angeles.

“Hacks” was created and is showrun by Downs, Lucia Aniello, and Jen Statsky. It’s won six Emmy Awards and 32 nominations over its first two seasons. It has also won a Peabody Award and DGA, WGA, and SAG Awards for its contributors. The third season is expected to arrive sometime this spring to qualify for the 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards.
