James Franco & 'Kink' Director Christina Voros Teaming Up For Gucci Documentary

nullWe’re only in the second month of 2013 and while most of us have failed to meet our New Year’s resolutions, James Franco has already dropped two movies at Sundance — the BDSM porn doc “Kink” and the “Cruising”-inspired “Interior. Leather Bar.” — is in post on the Cormac McCarthy adaptation “Child Of God” and is signed up to direct two more films. Franco isn’t take a break yet, though, as Variety is reporting that he’s teaming up again with “Kink” helmer Christina Voros for a less pornographic documentary.

The two filmmakers have been collaborating since Franco’s 2010 directorial debut “Saturday Night,” which followed the making of an episode of “Saturday Night Live” and has yet to be released despite having a distributor. Get on it Oscilloscope! As he did with “Kink,” Franco is again stepping in as a producer with Voros helming the documentary that will revolve around fasion house Gucci and its creative director Frida Giannini.

The subject isn’t entirely out of left field — unlike, say, a documentary on BDSM porn — as Franco acted as the official face of Gucci’s men’s fragrance line in 2008. There’s no timeline on when we’ll eventually see the film but based on the pair’s previous history, we wouldn’t be surprised if it came out next week. And when will we see Franco, the actor, on screen again? Well, he’s set to have a killer spring as he appears in both Harmony Korine’s cult-hit-in-the-making “Spring Breakers” and Sam Raimi’s “Oz The Great And Powerful.” Or you might just see him outside doing a performance art piece.
