Jennifer Lawrence Takes 'The Dive' With James Cameron, Emily Blunt Heads To 'Huntsman 2' & More

American HustleJennifer Lawrence has a busy 2015 ahead of her. The actress will team with David O. Russell for "Joy" in the early part of the year, and right after that heads to Montreal to shoot "X-Men: Apocalypse." She’s also got "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay—Part 2" that she’ll have to do press for, but it looks she’s not done working with director Francis Lawrence just yet.

She’s reteaming with the helmer for "The Dive," which has the added bonus of James Cameron producing. The project is set up at Fox and tells the true story of "freedivers Francisco ‘Pipin’ Ferraras and his wife Audrey Mestre, who competed to travel as deep as possible underwater on a single breath of air. Lawrence will play Mestre, who died during an attempt to beat her own world record of 557.7 feet." No word yet on when this production will get wet. [The Wrap

That "Snow White And The Huntsman" sequel you really wanted is still happening, and it’s upping the villain factor. Emily Blunt is angling to play Charlize Theron‘s evil sister, The Snow Queen. The movie has hit a slight road bump with director Frank Darabont exiting the movie over "creative differences," but a replacement is apparently imminent and everything should still be fine for this to open on April 22, 2016. "Edge Of Tomorrow" duo Tom Cruise and Doug Liman are looking to reteam on "Mena," a project formerly attached to Ron Howard. This one will tell the true story of "Barry Seal, a pilot who, in the 1980s, was a gun runner, and drug trafficker who transported contraband for the CIA and the Medellin cartel. He was eventually shot to death by the latter in Baton Rouge." Should all the pieces fall into place, this could roll in front of cameras later this year. [Deadline]
