Got a Tip?

Kaya Scodelario Joins Dakota Fanning & Jeremy Irvine In ‘Now Is Good’

Here’s a girl who’s going places. After breaking out on popular British series “Skins,” Kaya Scodelario already has the leading role in Andrea Arnold‘s adaptation of Emily Brontë‘s classic “Wuthering Heights” on the horizon which, if all the attention Katie Jarvis got for “Fish Tank” is anything to go by, will surely bring her further into the spotlight when it finally premieres sometime this fall.

The actress was also one of many being looked at for the leading role in Gary Ross‘ ‘Hunger Games‘ before Jennifer Lawrence won out but fear not, Scodelario has now booked herself a starring role alongside Dakota Fanning and Jeremy Irvine (the lead in Steven Spielberg‘s upcoming “War Horse“) in Ol Parker‘s latest writing and directorial effort.

“Just been told that I’m aloud 2 tell u guys what my next project is!” the actress tweeted [via UpAndComers]. “It’s called ‘Now Is Good‘ and I’ll be working with Dakota Fanning!Excited!”

The story centers on a girl dying of leukemia who puts together a list of what she wants to achieve before she dies, the top choice being to lose her virginity. Fanning looks set for the leading role with Irvine as her love interest and, while her role’s currently unknown, it’s been predicted that Scodelario will play “Zoey, the more outgoing, reckless and life-of-the-party” friend of the protagonist. British stalwarts Paddy Considine and Olivia Williams also co-star, probably as Fanning’s parents. Interestingly, with the predominantly British cast, we think it’s safe to assume that Parker’s story is set in his native England — will we see Fanning attempt the British accent?

No word on when shooting will begin but we’re guessing things will probably come together pretty quickly with five leading thespians now in place.
