‘Pride And Prejudice’ Teaser Trailer: Emma Corrin & Jack Lowden Lead Netflix’s New Limited Series Austen Adaptation

Netflix’s first teaser for “Pride and Prejudice” introduces Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy ahead of the streamer’s six-part limited series arriving in Autumn 2026.

The current boom in Regency dramas keeps rolling, and Netflix has now dropped the first teaser for “Pride and Prejudice,” its new limited-series take on Jane Austen’s classic novel, with Emma Corrin debuting as Elizabeth Bennet and Jack Lowden as Mr. Darcy.

Per Netflix, the teaser serves as an early introduction to the central pairing, with the streamer positioning the series as a “faithful, classic adaptation” that aims to reconnect longtime Austen fans with the novel while bringing in a new audience. The six-part series was written by Dolly Alderton and directed by Euros Lyn, and is set to launch in Autumn 2026.

Alderton framed the project as both an honor and a challenge, saying she felt lucky to help retell a story that remains foundational to modern romantic comedy.

“Once in a generation, a group of people gets to retell this wonderful story, and I feel very lucky that I get to be a part of it. Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice is the blueprint for romantic comedy — it has been a joy to delve back into its pages to find both familiar and fresh ways of bringing this beloved book to life. With Euros Lyn directing our stellar cast, I am so excited to reintroduce these hilarious and complicated characters to those who count Pride and Prejudice as their favourite book, and those who are yet to meet their Lizzie and Mr Darcy.”

The cast is deep, with Olivia Colman playing Mrs. Bennet and Rufus Sewell as Mr. Bennet, alongside Freya Mavor (Jane Bennet), Jamie Demetriou (Mr. Collins), Daryl McCormack (Mr. Bingley), Louis Partridge (Mr. Wickham), Rhea Norwood (Lydia Bennet), Siena Kelly (Caroline Bingley), and Fiona Shaw as Lady Catherine de Bourg/de Bourgh. Hopey Parish and Hollie Avery also make their screen debuts as Mary and Kitty Bennet.

Eagle-eyed fans in the U.K. had already spotted the teaser playing in cinemas ahead of select screenings of “Wuthering Heights” last week — a clever bit of advance bait before today’s wider debut. EW similarly noted the early U.K. theatrical play.

For now, the teaser is doing exactly what a first teaser should: introducing the faces, setting the tone, and letting the inevitable Darcy discourse begin. Watch the first teaser trailer below.
