Arnold Schwarzenegger Is Back In 3D Re-Release Trailer For ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day’

While the franchise might be dead (for the moment) thanks to the thorough flop of “Terminator Genisys,” Arnold Schwarzenegger is far from finished playing the role on the big screen. No, we’re not talking about a new movie featuring the T-800; rather, the series best “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” is returning to the multiplex with a fresh coat of paint.

Last year it was revealed that DMG Entertainment, StudioCanal and James Cameron were working on a new, 3D-converted version of the movie, approved and overseen by the director himself. I think the 1991 movie is totally fine as it is, and I don’t really need to see it enhanced with bells and whistles, but Cameron has become a 3D advocate in that time, so it’s probably safe to reason that he’s going to make sure it’s not just some rush job. Indeed, the re-release was initially planned for this past summer, but that didn’t quite happen.

James Cameron’s masterpiece starring Arnold Schwarzenegger in his most iconic role, has been converted in immersive 3D by Cameron himself. First hitting screens in 1991 with groundbreaking special effects, the 4K and 3D version will take the seminal blockbuster to the next level of effects and into the 21st century for the next generation of fans.

Regardless, now’s your chance to see this movie where it really should be seen — on the biggest screen possible. No one does spectacle quite like Cameron, and this certainly has some of his most spectacular stuff.
