Another Wife For DiCaprio In 'Wolf Of Wall Street'; James Corden Sings 'Can A Song Save Your Life?' & 'Devil's Knot' Ties Up West Memphis Three

nullCasting updates for Atom Egoyan’s West Memphis Three film “The Devil’s Knot,” the next DiCaprio-Scorsese collaboration and the follow-up to John Carney’s “Once” below, so read on…

Leonardo DiCaprio gets a second wife (after getting his first yesterday) in the Martin Scorsese-directed “The Wolf Of Wall Street.” Deadline reports that “Pan Am” star Margot Robbie is in talks to play the female lead in the film that also includes Jonah Hill, Kyle Chandler and “The Artist” star Jean Dujardin. “The Wolf Of Wall Street” tells the true story of Jordan Belfort (DiCaprio), a wheeling and dealing New York stockbroker who sees his career and personal life fall into shambles thanks to sex, drugs and alcohol. Production on the Terence Winter-penned film begins at the end of the summer.

Tony-award winner James Corden, last seen on the big screen in the Quentin Tarantino favoriteThe Three Musketeers,” has joined the John Carney-directed and Judd Apatow-executive produced “Can A Song Save Your Life?” Carney continues his exploration of musicians’ lives that he started with “Once,” as he follows a singer (Keira Knightley) who moves to New York, only to be dumped by her boyfriend (Maroon 5’s Adam Levine). But a down-on-his-luck record producer (Mark Ruffalo) discovers her singing in a bar, and sets out to make her a star, with romance presumably blossoming soon after. Corden will play Knightley’s best friend with a summer shoot in NYC planned. [Deadline]

Just like that, Atom Egoyan has found his West Memphis Three. Variety is reporting that Egoyan has tapped newcomer Seth Meriwether to play Jason Baldwin, joining James Hamrick and Kristopher Higgins who are playing Damien Echols and Misskelley Jr., respectively. It’ll be interesting to see how the film plays in the wake of four high-profile documentaries (including the Peter Jackson-produced “West Of Memphisslated for release later this year). Production on the film, toplined by Colin Firth and Reese Witherspoon, kicks off next week.
