Fans have been here before. “Jackass Forever” was touted as the final installment of the hit gonzo comedy series upon its release back in 2022. Things change, however, and now Paramount Pictures and anyone else involved in the franchise are claiming this June’s “Jackass: Best & Last” will be the last hurrah. Given recent comments from star Johnny Knoxville and the fact that most of the original cast is just too old to be performing risky stunts, it’s pretty clear that ‘Best And Last’ will, in fact, be the final goodbye.
The film is quite literally going out with a bang. Knoxville went on social media to take credit for a massive explosion that occurred in Simi Valley, California, in April. Local citizens thought a plane had crashed when, in fact, it was part of one of the final stunts shot for ‘Best & Last.’ An inadvertent piece of marketing that only adds to the lore of this last chapter arriving in June.
The movie will feature Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Wee Man, Preston Lacy, Dave England, Danger Ehren, Poopies, Zach Holmes, Jasper Dolphin, Rachel Wolfson, and Eric Manaka. Jeff Tremaine is the director. Spike Jonze, Knoxville, and Tremaine are producers.
This fifth and final installment follows the Jackass crew as they perform their final series of dangerous stunts and pranks, marking the end of the franchise. Expect a combination of old and new stunts in what star Knoxville is calling ‘a love letter to fans.’
Synopsis from Paramount:
“Jackass: Best & Last” is a compilation of stunts, skits, and pranks, intercut with on-set talking heads with its cast. The film will bring back the biggest stunts and pranks from the franchise, as well as brand new ones, and never-before-seen footage. The movie will be a mix of old and new footage.
Paramount Pictures will release ‘Jackass: Best & Last’ in theaters on June 26, 2026.
