"It’s coming to an end. This is it, the finale," Producer Jason Blum told USA Today about his flagship franchise. "We’re saying it before the movie opens. So wait, the franchise wasn’t run into the ground already? At any rate, for those of you who like jump scares and poor production values, this is your last chance (until the property gets inevitably rebooted). Directed by Gregory Plotkin, “Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension” focuses on a new family, a video camera, and a box of tapes. Looking through the lens of the camera allows the family to see the paranormal activity taking place in their new house. These scenes will be presented in 3D, a first for the franchise best known for its tiny budgets. Woo.
The final chapter in the ‘Paranormal Activity’ series hits theaters on October 23rd.
