Got a Tip?

Warner Bros Puts A ‘Bullet To The Head’ Of Sly Stallone’s Film, Gets Taken Off The Calendar

null

We know you must have been tearing your hair out about this for months — which movie would you choose to see first on the weekend of April 13th. Would you go with Drew Goddard and Joss Whedon's intriguing "The Cabin in the Woods," the eagerly anticipated (by Razzies voters) "The Three Stooges," or Sly Stallone's latest steroid-fest "Bullet To The Head"? Well, Warner Bros have decided to make it slightly easier for us as they've delivered a bullet to the head of Stallone's film, temporarily at least, by pulling it from the schedule.

There's no news yet as to when we will eventually see the film but we wouldn't be surprised if it was now held back until just after "The Pensioners 2" is released on August 17th. After all, Stallone is probably the only box-office draw amongst the cast. Warner Bros were probably hoping they had another star in their midst with the man-machine Jason Momoa, but then "Conan the Barbarian" went and tanked. "Bullet To The Head" will remain in intensive care for the time being until the studio decides that they'd like to revive it. 'Bullet' was also in the chamber for a release in the U.K. on April 13th as well, thought it remains to be seen if that date will be pushsed as well.

In other new from the studio, the Will Ferrell/Zach Galifianakis comedy "Rivals" is now The Artist Formerly Known as Rivals, and will instead take on the moniker "The Campaign." So, from one generic title to another, but Jay Roach's film stays rooted to it's release date of August 10th — slap bang in the middle of the presidential election race — and will hope that audiences vote with their wallets that weekend.
