Artwork For Adele’s ‘Skyfall’ Single Revealed Plus New Videoblog From The Film

nullA couple of weeks ago it was pretty much confirmed that Brit sensation Adele would be lending her impressive pipes to "Skyfall." But now it's officially official as artwork and details for the song — also called "Skyfall" — have arrived.

The artwork for the single has dropped and it looks like a production intern with some Photoshop skillz spent about five seconds throwing it together. Regardless, what you should know is that it was co-written by Paul Epworth, the Bloc Party and Futureheads producer who also helped pen a little song you might have heard of called "Rolling In The Deep." And while Adele didn't jump in right away, she explains why she eventually decided to team with 007.

“I was a little hesitant at first to be involved with the theme song for 'Skyfall.' There’s a lot of instant spotlight and pressure when it comes to a Bond song. But I fell in love with the script and Paul had some great ideas for the track and it ended up being a bit of a no-brainer to do it in the end. It was also a lot of fun writing to a brief, something I’ve never done which made it exciting," she says. "When we recorded the strings, it was one of the proudest moments of my life. I’ll be back combing my hair when I’m 60 telling people I was a Bond girl back in the day, I’m sure!”

The song will be unveiled on Adele's official website this Friday at 7:07 PM EST (or October 5th at 0:07 AM UK time — get it!?) and we'll get to hear the tune that features a 77-piece orchestra. But you can check out a 90 second preview below. After that, there's a video blog from "Skyfall" that goes underwater, and the full artwork and Adele's tweet of song notes below.
