In news that will surprise absolutely no one, characters from one Marvel franchise will appear in another Marvel franchise. That’s how the blockbuster game is played these days, and the comic studio is continuing to expand their cinematic world to infinite narrative lengths.
Speaking with The Telegraph, Idris Elba aka Heimdall revealed he’s not done yet with Marvel by spoiling his turn in next summer’s highly anticipated sequel. “I’m in ‘Avengers: [Age Of Ultron‘],” he said. “And I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth [who plays Thor] and Tom Hiddleston [Loki], and they’re like, [whispers] – ‘Aren’t you [meant to be] in Ibiza?’ ” That last bit refers to Elba’s sideline gig as a DJ, but in case you’re wondering what exactly Loki and Heimdall will be up to, that’s still a mystery.
However, in a since-yanked story from Digital Spy, it was said that Loki will "feature heavily" in the ongoing Marvel-verse, with appearances in "Thor: Ragnarok" and "Avengers: Infinity War." We shall see, but that’s not the only crossover apparently in the works.
Comic Book Movie stumbled across a casting call for a stand-in for Hayley Atwell on the set of "Ant-Man." You can speculate below about what Agent Carter and Hank Pym have to talk to about.
‘Age Of Ultron’ arrives on May 1, 2015 with "Ant-Man" following on July 17, 2015.
