Watch: First Trailer For Matthew Weiner's 'Are You Here' With Zach Galifianakis, Owen Wilson & Amy Poehler

Owen Wilson & Zach Galifianakis in YOU ARE HERE

“I just continued the process of making the movie. I treated it as a screening,” “Mad Men” creator Matthew Weiner told EW about the less than enthusiastic response to “Are You Here” (retitled from “You Are Here“) at TIFF last year. He adds that the finished movie is “actually quite a bit different than it was at Toronto.” But will it work better? We’ll find out, with the first trailer for the film landing today.

Starring Zach Galifianakis, Owen Wilson and Amy Poehler, the story follows Ben Baker (Galifianakis), who inherits his estranged father’s fortune and teams with womanizing local weatherman Steve Dallas (Wilson) to battle the legal challenge brought by Ben’s sister (Poehler). It’s a comedy with all the right ingredients, and while the mix might be a bit different now, we didn’t like how it tasted last fall. Our own Christopher Schobert wrote in his review, that the film “is intended to be a comedy, and it is a laugh-free one that runs for almost two hours.” Youch.

Here’s hoping the new cut works a bit better. “Are You Here” opens on August 22nd. Trailer below and bonus round: Here’s the video for Kevin Drew‘s “You In You Were” with Feist on vocals and Galifianakis doing his thing.
