It’s not often when a movie featuring two high wattage stars takes years to get released, first getting scuttled to VOD followed by a limited run in theaters, but such is the fate of Susanne Bier’s "Serena." Even with the presence of Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper, the film took its time in making its way to theaters, and unfortunately, it’s because it’s not very good. Nevertheless, given two actors of such high calibre, many remain curious, and two new clips from the film have arrived.
Based on the novel by Ron Rash, the Depression-era story follows George and Serena, a couple who forge a mighty timber empire together. But the good times soon give way to bad when Serena can’t conceive an heir. However, these two clips see the couple in happier times, with George seeing the fetching Serena riding a horse and later with the pair hitting the train station with that new marriage glow.
