Watch: Trailer For James Gray-Directed Sundance Channel Series 'The Red Road' Starring Jason Momoa

The Red Road

While HBO and AMC tend to get all the Golden Age Of TV glory, it might be time to start including Sundance Channel in the mix. Last year’s “Top Of The Lake” was one of the best things we saw on either the big or small screen, and if the first teaser for “The Red Road” is anything to go by, it’s going to be another fascinating, layered drama. And hell, we’ll be watching simply because James Gray directed the first episode of the six episode long season.

Starring Martin Henderson, Jason Momoa, Julianne Nicholson and Tom Sizemore, the series will center on a sheriff struggling to keep his family together while also trying to handle the tensions between the small town where he grew up and the neighboring community of Ramapo Mountain Indians. And the stakes will be raised after the sheriff and a member of the tribe make a pact following a tragedy involving the sheriff’s wife. Sounds like great stuff, and another reason to get excited? The show was creaeted by “Prisoners” scribe Aaron Guzikowski.

Once you’re done binging on “House Of Cards,” tune into “The Red Road”  February 27th at 9pm ET/PT. Take a look below. [Indiewire
