There was a lot of chatter earlier this year about the brewing "Tim & Eric's Billion Dollar Movie." From the mad minds of Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, their big screen outing following the end of the cult hit "Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!" attracted a host of comedian and actor buds for roles/cameo appearances including Zach Galifianakis, Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly (sadly, not playing Steve Brule), Robert Loggia, Jeff Goldblum, Will Forte and William Atherton. And aside from Magnolia Pictures snapping up the rights, we haven't heard much since. Well, damn, the movie is done and will be ready for your eyeballs in all of two months.
A brand new teaser trailer — which is indeed mostly a tease — has arrived, and aside from the trademark weirdness, the big piece of news that comes with it is that you'll be able to zap the zaniness into your own home as of January 27, 2012. But if you want to see the dudes blown up to multiplex screen size, you'll have to wait until March 20, 2012. The meta plot will find Tim and Eric receiving a billion dollars to make a movie only to have things go totally awry, leading them to become businessmen in a mall. And yeah, we're guessing that's just one part of what will be a surreal outing.
No glimpses yet of the stars, but check out the trailer below. We'd wager this is just the first of many peeks of the movie to come over at Funny & Die.
