Behold! The second new exciting still from Ben Affleck's "Argo." Based on a Blacklist-favored script by Chris Terrio, "Argo" tells the true story of how the CIA, with help from Hollywood, used a fake movie project to smuggle hostages out of Tehran during the 1979 hostage crisis.
"Argo" boasts a stellar cast of great character actors including Alan Arkin, Bryan Cranston, John Goodman, Kerry Bishe, Kyle Chandler, Rory Cochrane, Christopher Denham, Tate Donovan, Clea DuVall, Victor Garber, Zeljko Ivanek, Richard Kind, Scoot McNairy, Chris Messina, Michael Parks and Taylor Schilling. But for the life of us, we can't really figure out who the hell is in this image other then Affleck. Actually, second and third last from the left appears to be Christopher Denham and Tate Donovan, but you could never point them out in a line-up.
Either way, it appears that the team in this photo is going through an exciting meeting full of status updates, mechanics, action items and statements of work. The main question we have to ask is: who's on the call? All joking aside, "The Town" was aces and we're looking forward to this one big time.
Hoping to strike it critical gold again, Warner Bros. is set to release "Argo" on September 14th, essentially the same weekend that Affleck's "The Town" took off in 2010. That also likely means a copycat of the Venice/TIFF run that film took too. [via Coming Soon]
