Fire And Skulls: New Images Of Leonardo DiCaprio And Tom Hardy In Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s ‘The Revenant’

The RevenantShooting using natural light, on location, in the goddamn freezing cold, Alejandro G. Iñárritu completely turned around his approach after the carefully controlled, studio shot "Birdman." His next effort "The Revenant" went over budget, lost a producer, and had reports of safety concerns on the set. But despite all of that, not to mention delays in shooting which meant the final scene was only shot a couple of months back, the picture is still coming before the year is out and some new images have arrived.

As you know Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy lead the movie about an explorer who is attacked by a bear, left for dead by members of his hunting team, only to survive and seek vengeance. There’s a pile of buffalo skulls, fire, and some pretty breathtaking imagery, all thanks to a very dedicated approach.

"The Revenant" opens on Christmas Day.
