Johnny Knoxville & Tony Shalhoub Cast As The Voices Of Leonardo & Splinter In ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The voice roles of these movies aren’t already nailed down? I guess with a movie like “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” you can add the voice cast way late in the game. Already starring Megan Fox and Will Arnett, Johnny Knoxville and Tony Shaloub have been added to the cast as the voices of hero in a half shell Leonardo and the sensei Splinter, respectively. Of course, IMDB/Wikipediak list Pete Ploszek (“Parks & Recreation”) as Leonardo, and it appears that info was both tenuous and incorrect.

Deadline reports that Ploszek did the voice on set for Leonardo, and Danny Woodburn took on Splinter with the idea that the Jonathan Liebesman-directed film could change the voices if need be. It looks like they have, so if I were Jeremy Howard (Donatello), Alan Ritchson (Raphael) and Noel Fisher (Michelangelo), I wouldn’t be updating that resume just yet because the addition of celebrity voices is likely just going to begat more of the same.

Paramount will release the movie on August 8th, you can see the teaser trailer here if you missed it last week.
