Love, Sex & Socialists: Yes, It's The Trailer For Woody Allen's 'To Rome With Love'

nullWhile there are still those who will bitch and moan that Woody Allen's comedies haven't evolved much over the past few decades, for those with appropriate expectations, the director's films are — even at their flimsiest — generally a delightful annual treat. And so it goes with "To With Rome Love," which hardly breaks new ground, but offers up enough charms that we're looking forward to it.

Once again, Allen has assembled an all-star cast, and while plot details have been kept under wraps, we get a few glimpses of the storylines that will play out: The very lucky Jesse Eisenberg plays a young man whose girlfriend is Greta Gerwig, and he has the opportunity to cheat with her best friend, Ellen Page. Alec Baldwin is there as his unhelpful father. It's pretty great to see Woody himself back on screen, this time opposite Judy Davis, who he hasn't worked with since 1998's "Celebrity." Roberto Begnini seems to be riffing on his public persona, while the smokin' Penelope Cruz plays an escort who makes one man's dreams come true.

Frankly, it's hard to hate on this and we're up for another light Euro trifle from Allen. "To Rome With Love" opens in Italy on April 20th and in the U.S. on June 22nd. Watch below.
