New Images From David Chase's 'Not Fade Away,' The New York Film Festival Centerpiece Selection

nullWith the New York Film Festival already landing Robert Zemeckis' "Flight" to close out the the fest, and Ang Lee's "Life Of Pi" to kick things off, they've added another big World Premiere to their lineup as the Centerpiece Selection: David Chase's "Not Fade Away."

The debut feature film from "The Sopranos" creator stars a nice ensemble including Jack Huston, Will Brill, John Magaro, Brad Garrett, Bella Heathcote, James Gandolfini and Lisa Lampanelli, in a coming-of-age tale about three Italian-American kids, (Magaro, Brill, Huston) who form a rock band in the 1960s. Along with the announcement, NYFF dropped some new pics as well and it looks like this one is going to be fully embracing its period setting that will see the shifting social tides coming into play. And not only that, but it's gonna rock too.

The lengendary Steve Van Zandt of Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band fame produced the soundtrack, and with Huston revealing last year the film's fictional band The Twylight Zones were jamming, could they swing by NYFF for a performance as well? We'll soon see. The New York Film Festival runs from September 28th to October 14th.
