Official Runtime For 'X-Men: Days of Future Past — Rogue Cut' Revealed

X-Men: Days of Future PastThere will be plenty of superheroes to keep you busy this summer at the multiplex, but if the summer heat is too much to take, and you need to stay at home with the air-conditioning blasting you right in the face, "X-Men: Days Of Future Past — Rogue Cut" will keep you busy. We’ve known this extended version of the movie has been coming since last fall, and earlier this year it was revealed it would hit home video with "distinct extras." Well, another puzzle piece has shaken out as the runtime has arrived.

Film Divider has done the digging at BBFC and turned up 142 minute 37 second runtime, confirming earlier reports that the ‘Rogue Cut’ would run ten minutes longer than the 131 minute 26 second theatrical cut of ‘Days Of Future Past.’ That’s a whole lotta mutants. So what can you expect to see? We’d guess that it’ll largely be a plot thread dropped from the movie which saw Rogue absorbing Kitty Pryde’s power, when the latter is injured by Wolverine during their time travel session to make sure he stays in the past. There’s also some extra stuff involving Professor X, Magneto, and Iceman teaming up to save Rogue from the Sentinels that was left on the cutting room floor, too. So we’ll see what gets restored.

Still no word on release date for this cut just yet, but it seems we’ll know more very soon.
