Poster For Aaron Sorkin's Highly Anticipated 'The Newsroom' Plus A Behind-The-Scenes Look At The Show

nullTo say we're excited for Aaron Sorkin's return to television with "The Newsroom" would be an understatement. Having been fans of all his previous small screen ventures — "Sports Night," "The West Wing" and even "Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip" — we can't wait to see what he cooks up here.

The show is another behind-the-scenes tale from Sorkin, following beleaguered ACN news anchor Will (Jeff Daniels), who faces a major change when his co-anchor bails for another program and takes most of the staff with him. With the pressure on him to carry the show and deliver ratings while trying to get along with the staff, sparks fly (and the first three trailers have certainly proved that).

Daniels' supporting team includes quality thesps such as Emily Mortimer, Sam Waterston, Jane Fonda, Alison Pill, Dev Patel, Olivia Munn, Josh Pence, John Gallagher Jr. and Thomas Sadosky, along with one element of casting we seem to have overlooked in the past: Terry Crews, who plays Will’s bodyguard and would-be confidant or life coach of sorts. Sorkin's been attracting top talent behind the camera as well, with Greg Mottola ("Superbad," "Adventureland") and Joshua Marston ("Maria Full Of Grace," 'Forgiveness Of Blood') among those involved.

The June 24th premiere isn't too far away now, but in the meantime you can take a look at the full poster, which rightfully has Daniels front and center, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the show (below). [via Collider]
