A ’90s-set thriller starring Emma Watson and Ethan Hawke, and directed by Alejandro Amenábar? Okay, it’s not something we expected, but it is something we’re looking forward to. When Amenabar is on his game, he can’t be beat. And if this turns out to be even in the same orbit as his terrific ghost story/thriller “The Others,” we’re in for a treat.
Today the first international teaser has arrived for "Regression," setting the mood for the upcoming picture. The story revolves around a detective investigating the case of a young woman who accuses her father of a horrific crime. When the father confesses, a psychologist is brought in to dig deeper and what he discovers is something even more far-reaching.
For now, all we have is the Spanish language dub, but hopefully a domestic version arrives soon. Either way, the atmosphere looks pretty great and this has certainly piqued our curiosity. "Regression" arrives on August 28th. [Film Divider]
