Got a Tip?

Victoria Justice Offered ‘Fun Size’ Lead

This project flew right under our noses with all the hubbub over casting the lead female role in “The Hunger Games.” Apparently, Josh Schwartz‘s coming of age comedy “Fun Size” for Paramount also auditioned young, talented actresses for its lead role, landing on Victoria Justice. According to Variety, Justice has been offered the lead, beating out the likes of Chloe Moretz and Jane Levy (“Shameless“) to play a teenage girl who takes her younger brother trick-or-treating, loses him and must find him before their mother finds out. Schwartz will direct and produce with his partner Stephanie Savage through their company Fake Empire.

Justice has few credits to her name, aside from being the star of “Victorious,” a show on Nickelodeon about a young girl trying to find her way through a performing arts high school. Max Werner‘s script was placed on the Black List last year, only to be swooped up by Schwartz, who has a knack for developing television and films around teenagers. He hit paydirt with television shows like “The O.C.” and “Gossip Girl” for the CW, as well as “Chuck” for NBC. He’s also developing a new show titled “Hart of Dixie” for this coming pilot season for the CW. Needless to say, he’s got a lot of projects piled on his plate, and “Fun Size” looks to be possibly one of the best.

This will be a huge step into film for Justice. Rumors are that Zoe Kravitz and heavyweight Emma Roberts were also interested in the role, so Justice clearly wowed someone. Don’t cry for an actress like Moretz, though; she has plenty of opportunities coming her way. Just yesterday, she put up this tweet, claiming she booked a very important role.

Has anyone seen “Victorious?” Who thinks this could be a great project for Schwartz? And what are your guesses for Moretz’s super-secret, amazing role? Sound off in the comments!
